Description
The Kitesurf school is located between the villages of Lagos and Alvor. It is a large shallow lagoon with perfectly clean and smooth sea water, which makes it ideal to learn to kitesurf. The depth in the training zone is 0.5-1 m. The lagoon connects with the ocean, which provides comfortable riding on the kite in the ocean as well as in the lagoon. The number of windy and sunny days per year is 80 percent. And, more importantly, there are no tourists swimming in the area.Kitesurf Algarve has different packages you can choose from:
One Day – (3 hours kiteboarding Course): €120
Very good experience for everyone who wants a first time trying kitesurfing You will experiencing the body drag, a maneuver where you are being pulled by the kite in the water. Once you feel this pull you will know if it is your cup of tea or not. There are 2-4 students per instructor.
If you want some more attention, you can book this 3 hours course as a semi-private lesson, you will then be maximum 2 students with one instructor). The cost of a semi-private 3 hours lesson is €150.
Includes: Short theory introduction, safety systems, equipment set up, launching & landing, piloting a small kite on the beach, practicing with a bigger inflatable kite in the water, body dragging.
3 Day Beginner Class (10h course) €300
Kitesurfing is a sport for everybody. If you’d like to try out this new sport, the 3 day Beginner lessons is the perfect package. Learn in 3 days how to fly a kite, get an idea about the wind, make bodydrags and first waterstarts! After 3 days it is possible to rent equipment or extend to the 5 Day Package. In small groups of 2-4 students per instructor, you will improve fast.
Includes: Complete theory, safety systems, equipment set up, launching, landing, piloting a small trainer foil kite on the beach, practicing with a beginner inflatable kite in the water, body dragging, water relaunch, self rescue, water-start, riding with control.
2 Day Advanced Class (7h course) €220
For the advanced Classes you need at least the level bodydrag, first waterstarts. This 2 Day Package is good to improve your level – Riding upwind, change direction or make your first jumps. After these 2 days you can rent equipment and practice for yourself.
5 Day Kite Coaching – From 0 to Hero (15h Course) €420
This 5 Day Package is the right choice if you really want to learn this great sport. Learn in 5 days all about kitesurfing and get your international Kite! There will be 2-4 persons per instructor (it is also possible to book this 5 day package as an advanced kiter to improve your riding level, go unhooked for the first time, learn some nice jumps or go in waves the first time.
