At Kanosport Zwalker, the course starts with learning to board and builds up for everyone depending on their level.
What you will learn
• Lifting, carrying and launching
• Boarding and disembarking in various ways
• Forward sailing
• Backwards sailing
• Stopping within 6 strokes
• Steering the kayak
• Feeling of balance
• Tidy and clean up material.
The course is held in Bergschenhoek at Outdoor Valley (in the Rottemeren area). We sail around the Hoge Bergse Bos.
The minimum age for this course is 12 years. Children who are younger can participate in consultation. A swimming diploma is mandatory.
The course consists of a morning from 10 am to 1 pm or in the afternoon from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Cost
The costs for the course are € 60, -. This includes a kayak, paddle, life vest and splash cover. Anorak and wetsuit can be used free of charge.
