The impression of the splashing foam, the power of the water, the wind and the waves coming at you with the aim of surfing that one wave with the kayak. This is what you can expect during the introduction kayak surfing. Come and experience it yourself!
Introduction to kayak surfing
Canoeists were the first persons with a vessel to surf the waves. This surf is close to the coast where waves turn and break. The aim is to surf from the kayak with a wave to the coast. This is an experience and a kick to remember, but beware! Before you know it you are addicted to it.
Basic strokes and techniques
The following strokes will be treated during the introductory course:
• Lifting, carrying and launching
• Get in and out
• Forward sailing
• basic knowledge of the branding
• Steering the kayak
• Feeling of balance
• departure from the shore
• turn around with the kayak and back to the shore.

For whom:
This course is for people who want to learn to surf kayaking and have no or minimal experience.
When
During the season we regularly have on Sundays introductory lessons.
Location
The course is held on the North Sea at the beach of Hook of Holland.
Age
The minimum age for this course is 12 years. Children who are younger can participate under supervision of an adult. A swimming diploma is mandatory.

10.00 to 15.00
Cost
The costs for the course are € 75, -. This includes a kayak, paddle, helmet, life vest, wetsuit, anorak.
